We are excited to announce a new appointment to our Sales Team: Customer Solutions Engineer Carl Hodges. The appointment is part of a series of measures that Gough Engineering has taken to future-proof the company in the current changing economic climate.
A Digital Transformation
Our newly appointed Customer Solutions Engineer, Carl Hodges, is further evidence of the company’s desire for a digital transformation. Carl continued his further and higher education in engineering through gaining a Batchelor of Computer-Aided Engineering Degree, a Masters in Advanced Manufacturing Systems and a CPGS in Investment Modelling within Operations Strategy.
His career within industry first began as a consultant and he moved on to provide software solutions for manufacturing companies and academic institutions. Carl also brings the experience in successful sales managerial roles within large material handling equipment by providing bespoke solutions. Carl’s appointment goes hand-in-hand with investments made by Gough Engineering in new internal software, beginning a fresh chapter in the company’s digital era. Carl will be managing the new CRM system and guiding the Sales, Production and Aftermarket Departments in their provision of a world class customer service.
Asked about his new role, Carl commented: “I am really looking forward to working with the Gough team in developing further business opportunities and supporting internal systems. With Covid-19 effects being felt heavily throughout the world, it is a challenging time for everyone. However, where there is a will, there is a way forward and I am excited to see what the future holds for British manufacturing.”
