Vacancy #1
Fabricator/Welder
We are now seeking a Fabricator/Welder to join the great team at Gough Engineering.
Job Description
We are currently recruiting for an experienced sheet metal fabricator/TIG welder to join our friendly and experienced team. The main role will be the fabrication of components for machinery used in the food, chemical, plastic and recycling industries.
Additional training and development is available, for the right candidate. Work will be carried out in accordance with all appropriate safety standards and in a clean, modern and warm factory.
Job Responsibility
• You must be able to read technical drawings and work accordingly.
• You will be experienced in TIG welding.
• You should produce a quality finished weld deposition, with good penetration and finish.
• You will be required to fabricate sheet metal work ranging from 1mm-3mm stainless steel components to a high-quality standard.
• Sub-assembly experience is extremely desirable.

Experience
Fabricating: 3 year (Preferred)
Working hours: 37-hour week, Monday to Thursday, based in our factory on Parkhouse East Industrial Estate, Newcastle under Lyme. Overtime is readily available on Fridays and Saturdays, should the workload dictate.
All work is completed on site (no remote working).
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Junior Fabricator/Welder
We are now seeking a Junior Fabricator/Welder to join the great team at Gough Engineering.
Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a junior sheet metal fabricator/TIG welder to join our friendly and experienced team. The main role will be the fabrication of components for machinery used in the food, chemical, plastic and recycling industries.
The ideal candidate will have some experience of MIG/TIG welding.
Training will be provided – this will be a mixture of external and internal training, and would be bespoke, shaped for the successful candidate.
The salary starts at £11.25 per hour, presuming the individual is aged 20 or older. Applications from younger candidates are welcome and a suitable starting salary can be discussed at interview.
Job Responsibility
• You must be willing to learn and keen to improve your skills, responding to feedback from the team.
• You will have some experience of welding.
• Any ‘hands-on’ work or hobbies will be an advantage.
• You will learn to read technical drawings
• As the job involves a wide range of responsibilities, a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths is desirable (GCSE Grade C/Grade 4 or higher)
