Sheet Metal Fabricator / TIG Welder

Job Description:

  • An exciting position has become available for a full-time TIG/MIG Fabricator Welder to join a friendly team based in Newcastle-under-Lyme. The successful candidate will earn a competitive salary.

    Hours of work will be 37-hours per week, Monday to Thursday. Overtime is readily available on Fridays and Saturdays should workload dictate.

    The main role will be the fabrication of components for machinery used in the food, chemical, plastic and recycling industries.

    Additional training and development are available, for the right candidate. Work will be carried out in accordance with all appropriate safety standards and in a clean, modern and warm factory.

 

Job Responsibility:

  • You must be able to read technical drawings and work accordingly.
  • You will be experienced in TIG welding.
  • Sub-assembly experience is extremely desirable.

Role Responsibilities:

  • You should produce a quality finished weld deposition, with good penetration and finish.
  • You will be required to fabricate sheet metal work ranging from 1mm-3mm stainless steel components to a high-quality standard.

Experience:

  • Fabricating: 3 year (Preferred)

Storeperson / General Operative

Job Description:

 

We are currently recruiting for a competent and organised Storeperson to join our team who will be responsible for receiving, checking, storing, and issuing materials within the factory to ensure efficiency.  

 

Job Responsibility:

  • Unloading and quality checking goods against purchase order.
  • Transport components to fabricators work station in accordance with Production Controller / Works Manager.
  • Picking and packing fully assembled machines, components and spares appropriately.
  • Maintaining stock levels of components, consumables in accordance with SAGE.
  • Assist with accurately counting parts for stock take.
  • Control all stocks in a safe and tidy manner.
  • Semi-skilled component assembly including building plastic and steel chain.
  • Factory Support – housekeeping, moving goods around factory and all open areas.
  • Delivery and collections of product and material as required using Gough’s vehicles.
  • General labouring duties.
  • Arranging collections via TNT.
  • Arranging for skips to be emptied.
  • Performing any other duties that may be deemed necessary to ensure the effective running of the Department and Company.
  • Use of Fork Lift required when handling materials or deliveries.

Key Skills:

  • Organised and focus approach to work.
  • Computer literate.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • A good level of physical fitness.
  • A safety-conscious attitude to your work.

 

Licence/Certification:

  • Forklift truck (Training can be provided)
  • Driving License (Required)
