Avoiding damaging products when conveying is a major challenge for product handling engineers
Damaged product has less value, so is fundamental to running a successful manufacturing operation. There is no point investing heavily in processing equipment, if all that work is going to be undone when the product is moved on.
Vibration and blowing systems are not recommended.
Belt conveyors are suitable in some circumstances, but to have their own issues.
The most gentle handling is provided by swinging bucket elevators, with product sitting stationary inside a moving bucket during transfer.
