A - G

ATEX

A special rating when product material is combustible and defined by the customer in rating zones and distances.

Base

Machine base sitting on ground

Bed depth

A term used to define the product material thickness as it moves through a machine like a linear feeder.

Bellows

Special air bellows used on out Vibrecon range with superb vibration suppression.

Classifier

A machine that can have multiple decks to classify material by particle sizes.

Circular

A circular machine opposed to a linear machine shape design.

Deck

A screen will fit into a deck, where the deck has a rim and spout.

Discharge

Once screened or transferred product material will flow through an exist discharge spout.

H - N

Hookscreen

Term used to describe your product material feeding into a machine for the first time.

Jacobs fittings

A particular type of JACOBS fittings used to connect pipework or chutes.

Linear

linear meaning a screen or machine design shape defined by a width and length - as opposed to circular.

O - Z

Out-of-balance

A motor with internal weights, set to different positions to create vibration.

Sieve

A small single motored machine, with one screen vibrating to produce oversize and fine material separation.

Screen

Larger single screen areas than sieves, with two out-of-balance motors for more aggressive vibration.

Sealed motor

Motors are sealed unit with end caps.

Separator

Another term used for separating material into 2 or 3 or 4 fractions.

Spout

Term used, normally round, in which product material flows through. It can be positioned at the exits of the machine.

Swinglink®

A Gough patented name for a type of pendulum bucket elevator.

Support Frame

A fabricated steel support frame used on linear screens, conveyors, linear vibratory feeders etc. can be mobile.

Vibration

A motion generated from an out-of-balance motor or electromagnetic drives. Vibration can also applied in the vertical horizontal planes dependant on machine.

Vibraflo®

A patented single vibrating screen using twin out-of-balance motors.

Vibrecon®

A patented circular vibrating machine for single or multiple decks with air bellows.
