What we can do
Manufacturing for Gough Engineering is based on years of providing reliable industrial machinery for the sieving, separating and transfer of product material within production systems.
We design to order, so our design department applies its core product designs and tailors them to the customers individual needs.
Within manufacturing we therefore have a number of skill sets and are as follows:
Cutting & Shaping / Folding
We have capabilities to cut, form, bend and shape the necessary sheet steels or sections into their required lengths.
This can be the first stage of preparation, an important part alongside any supplier cut shapes that are more intricate.
Welding
Our core competence in welding metals together and the superb skill sets within our team are simply the best.
Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG)
Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW/Stick)
Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG)
Assembly
Our team of production staff will begin the process of assembly to form the main structures and complete the final stages once all parts have been completed.
We have a good area for assembly throughout our units.
In some cases a black-build is required before powder coating, or final assembly in stainless steel before final cleaning.
Testing
Testing can come in many forms.
A simple dwell time running the machine in, for a period of time is always completed. This will identify any vibrational and noise problems.
Testing can also come in the form of product testing, prior to delivery to ensure the equipment functions correctly not just in screening or sieving, but also working in conjunction with transfer conveying equipment.
Factor Acceptance Testing
Factory acceptance testing can be accomplished where necessary with the customers involvement and final approach.
Controls
Controls are also tested, basic start/stop functions and emergency stops, to full control panels with many control elements and testing with the associated equipment
