Bagging Lines with Quality Assurance

As part of Gough Engineering’s scope of supply, Gough can provide a bagging line manufactured by Robbe with their 175 years of experience. Robbe bagging machines are perfect for open-mouthed, valve or paper bags and are compatible poly-woven bags, plastic bags or paper bags.

Auto-Sealing

This superb example in an ATEX rated zone environment, allowed a UK customer to safely delivery product directly from a drier, through a check screen with auto metal detection/rejection and into a Robbe bagging unit.

The bagging line is an independent single bag filling station using pneumatic bag clamps for auto-sealing and then weighing.

Food Industry - Piab with Gough Check Screen and Metal Detection Before Robbe Bagging

The product, once quality check screened, is transferred using a Piab vacuum transfer system elevating product up into a gravity fall metal detection/rejection unit.

This example combined and integrated a number of interdependent processes for the customer to bag their product safely and accurately for sale into their market with minimal operator manual lifting and totally enclosed for eliminating dust in the environment.

Food operations need to be clean, and with Robbe bagging line in Stainless Steel it measures and accurately doses end-of-line products in bags for final despatch to the market.

Experience Dosing know-how

In order to get the product quickly and accurately in a bag, Robbe can use a variety of dosing unit designs.

This can be achieved using a screw feeder solution where product that can be difficult to convey are then dosed correctly in the package type. In other applications, Robbe will offer butterfly valve. Thanks to Gough’s and Robbe’s many years of experience, we can offer the best dosing unit for your product and industry.

Interconnecting using ethernet can also be chosen as well as on-line diagnostics directly from Robbe technical.

Delivered directly from a client’s conveyor, the intermediate hopper provides product flow directly into a Robbe bagging lines with delivery conveying across with elevation to the next process.

Automatic robotic bag palletising by Robbe can be provided once the bags have been filled. The xample uses a Fanuc robot with specific bag tooling with vacuum to pick and place bags according to stack position.
