Project Description:
Gough have completed a conveyor scheme for a West Midlands Company to process supermarket waste so the end product could be recycled.

Solution:
The horizontal metal slat conveyor with in-feed dump hopper carries fresh and chilled foods that are past their sell-by date, including bread loaves, sandwiches, yoghurts, eggs, fruit and vegetables. The slat conveyor conveys the supermarket waste at 6,000 kg's per hour at a speed of 18 metres per minute.

Results & Conclusions:
As recycling waste materials may only provide a small amount of economically good product, waste recyclers need to process large volumes of materials to get the true value. Gough Conveyor Systems can handle high throughput levels and allow for easy access cleaning and operation.
